10 Super Music Events in Dublin in 2023

With lots of big and small venues all over the city there are hundreds of music events in Dublin in 2023 – far too numerous to mention all of them here.
We have selected ten top events, mostly at the bigger venues.
Our advice is to book your tickets early and of you are staying in Dublin overnight book your accommodation well in advance. You will have a greater choice and you are likely to get it much cheaper.

The Pretenders

The Pretenders have been on the road since 1978. Fronted by songwriter and guitarist Chrissie Hynde, they have had a string of hits and have a huge fan base.
The will play many of their famous songs and new ones from their latest album Hate for Sale.

Gladys Knight

Date: 3rd June 2023

The “Empress of Soil” is on her farewell tour. First appearing in the early 1960s as Gladys Knight and The Pips she has had numerous singles and albums over six decades.
Who does not remember some of her great hits like “Every Beat of My Heart,” “Letter Full of Tears,” and “I Heard it Through the Grapevine”.
MACK FLEETWOOD
Date: 4th June 2023
Venue: Whelans
Europe’s top tribute to the famous FLEETWOOD MAC, bring you through the various incarnations of Fleetwood Mac from their early Blues days to the present time..
Iron Maiden

Date: 24th June 2023
Venue: 3 Arena
A treat in store for Heavy Metal fans as Iron Maiden bring their new THE FUTURE PAST TOUR with some previously unperformed songs from their most recent album, Senjutsu as well as some of their other well known classics.
This is likely to be one of the most popular music events in Dublin in 2023.

Date: 29th June 2023
Venue: Vicar Street
This Texan has released numerous albums over the years and has a loyal following.
He has released over 20 Albums and got 3 Grammy awards.
He started off in the country music scene but branched out into rock, bluegrass, folk and blues.
J.I.D.

Date: 16th July
Venue: 3 Olympia
J.I.D has been described as “one of rap’s best storytellers” according to “Rolling Stone”)” magazine.
His best known works include The Never Story (2017), and the album DiCaprio 2 (2018)
He will be joined by hip hop duo EARTHGANG.
JP COOPER

Date: 15th September 2023
Venue: Olympia Theatre
John Paul Cooper is an English singer and songwriter. He featured on the Jonas Blue single “Perfect Strangers”. His own follow-up solo single was “September Song”.
Genre: Soul music, Alternative rock, Tropical house.
New Order

Date: 1st October 2023
Venue: 3Arena
New Order triumphed over tragedy to emerge as one of the most influential and acclaimed bands of all time.
“Blue Monday” became the best-selling 12-inch single of all time.
Norah Jones

Date: 14th November 2023
Venue: Olympia Theatre
Norah Jones is an American singer/songwriter who has won several awards for her music and has sold more than 50 million records. Her music is described as a fusion of jazz with country, blues, folk and pop.
She is the daughter of famous Indian sitar player Ravi Shankar who became famous for his collaboration with The Beatles.
Gabrielle

Date: 15th November 2023
Venue: 3Olympia Theatre
In her 30 Years Of Dreaming Tour Gabrielle celebrates the 30th anniversary of the release of her No. 1 single “Dreams”
Special guests Wallis Bird and Skinny Living will join her on stage.
