Date: 25th – 29th April 2023
Venue: Punchestown Racecourse
The Punchestown Festival is probably the top National Hunt Horse Racing meeting in the country and is often compared to Cheltenham. Big prize money attracts to top horses , trainers and jockeys from Ireland and the UK for 5 days of the best jumps racing anywhere.

Sporting Events in Dublin in 2023

Venue: The Curragh Racecourse
The Irish Guineas Festival is the first big festival on the Irish Flat Racing Calendar. It features the Irish 1000 Guineas and the Irish 2000 Guineas which are the first classics of the new season. On show will be the best of the flat horses, trainers and jockeys from Ireland and some from the UK and Europe.

Irish Derby Weekend

Date: 30th Jun – 2nd Jul 2023
Venue: The Curragh Racecourse
The Derby is the biggest and most important of the Classics and will determine who is the top 3 year old horse. Big crowds are expected for this 3 days of top flat horse racing.

In this UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifying Match Ireland will play Gibraltar and after a near miss against top team France, Ireland will be expected to defeat minnows Gibraltar fairly easily.
