Animal Flow Programme

This celebration of all things healthy is a one day festival, with an eclectic range of fitness and health-related activities, classes, workshops and seminars to choose from. Whether you are a newcomer to the world of healthy living and eating, or you’re a seasoned health fanatic who wants to get tips and tricks to hone your fitness, you will find something here.

Animal-flowWith 15 years of experience in fitness and health behind him, Richard Scrivener is the go-to guy if you have any questions. He is also the European Master Instructor for the Animal Flow Programme.
What’s that, you say?
Well, it’s a fitness program which is a fusion of quadrupedal and ground based movement with elements from various bodyweight-training disciplines. The result is a highly enjoyable, challenging workout with a focus on multi-planar, fluid movement. It can be done solo or as part of a group.

The Viking Method

Svava Sigbertsdottir is the creator of ‘The Viking Method’: a training method with Icelandic influences, conceived with the intention of gaining the fastest and most noticeable results. Her intention at all times is for the workout to be enjoyable, almost with an addictive element where one is getting their body into the best shape it can be, without feeling like they have worked at it but enjoyed themselves along the way.

Darren Dillon is founding member of Dublin’s Premier Training Centre. He is also a TRX Master Trainer with a specialisation in Personal Training for athletic development. If you want to lose fat quickly while gaining muscle mass, you should talk to him.

Niall Breslin is the man behind My1000Hours, which delves deep into the ways in which everyone can improve upon not only their physical fitness, but their emotional fitness too. It is also an online support blog for anyone who wants a challenge but feels they could do with some guidance along the way.

David and Stephen Flynn, owners and co-founders of The Happy Pear organic café in Greystones, will also be turning up on the day to offer cookery demonstrations. Since it opened its doors in 2004, The Happy Pear, with its whole food ethos and greengrocer with health food shop next door, has proven to be so popular with locals and visitors alike that more recently, a sister café was opened in Shoreline, at the further reaches of Greystones.

Yoga for Health

lou yogaLou Horgan has been a yoga teacher for 12 years, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her classes. Her own unique brand of yoga, LouYoga, brings together the influences and teachings from her training, which began in India and was given to her by teachers who drew from the Lyengar, Sivananda and Ashtanga traditions. She considers herself to be constantly learning, as there is no one fixed destination in yoga.
