Winter Funderland aims to capture the magic of Christmas. A festival of family entertainment in one location. Funderland – Europe’s largest indoor theme park, iSkate on Ice-Ireland’s largest ice rink and Fossett’s exclusive Christmas Circus.
Winter Funderland will be a festival to delight the senses and capture the joy and fun of the season – all in one location at the RDS from December 5th 2014.
The event runs from 12 noon to 10pm from Monday to Friday. It’s open 10am to 10pm Saturday, Sunday & School Holidays. It will be closed on Christmas Day.

New Year Festival Dublin

Date: 30th December 2014 – 1st January 2015

A new music and arts festival in Dublin.
This is billed as ‘the biggest New Year’s celebration the city has ever seen’.

Experience the NYF Countdown Concert, Music, Comedy and Art trails, artisan food at the NYF Food Village. The city comes alive with 3D animations, the Procession of Light and the Dublin Genius spoken word festival.

Peter Pan Christmas Pantomine

Date: 1st December 2014 – 1st January 2015
Venue: Gaiety Theatre
This year’s panto at the Gaeity is Peter Pan. Lots of fun and laughter at the expense of politicians an celebrities in this hilarious take on the ever popular childrens story.

Over 60 traders  in traditional wooden chalets along the outside of St Stephen’s Green Park will have on offer  many Irish made handcrafted items, including woodcraft, jams, prints, food and drinks, books and lots more.

Handel’s Messiah at Christ Church

Date: 5th December 2014
Venue: Christchurch Cathedral

Handel’s Messiah is performed by the Irish Baroque Orchestra conducted by Eamonn Dougan, this powerful and stirring piece of music can be heard just around the corner from where  it was first performed on Fishamble Street in 1742.

Christmas Wonderland

Date: 5th December 2014 – 10th January 2015
Venue: RDS, Ballsbridge
The magic of Christmas at The RDS.
Ice Skating an area in excess of 1,000 Square Metres suitable for all ages from 3 upwards.
Funderland presents the best thrill rides and family attractions available anywhere. Also lots of games of skill and chance giving the opportunity to win prizes.
Santa’s Christmas Circus has jugglers, acrobats, aerial daredevils, a contortionist an illusionistand much more.

Elton John and his Band

Elton John and the band will be performing songs from his huge repertoire fspanning five decades. Many favourites inlude Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Candle in The Wind, Sacrifice, Crocodile Rock, Daniel, I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues, Rocket Man and the instrumental Song For Guy.

She Stoops to Conquer

Venue: Abbey Theatre
Oliver Goldsmith’s ever popular comedy of deception and seduction, She Stoops to Conquer is at The Abbey Theatre. Hugely charming and humorous, this production is directed by Conall Morrison and is a nice escape for Christmas visitors to Dublin.
